Sustainable energy generation
Over the next few weeks, a modern solar power system will be installed on the roofs and south-facing façade of our production halls, marking an important milestone for our energy future. With this investment, we are sending a clear signal for sustainability, energy efficiency and a stable long-term power supply. Covering a total area of 2,880 m², we will in future be generating a significant proportion of our electricity directly on site.
Technical details of the new PV system
- 1,440 solar modules
- 672 kWp total output
- 2,880 m² module area
The combination of roof and façade modules ensures that we can make optimal use of solar radiation throughout the year.
Energy production and use
With the new PV system, we will be able to cover at least 25% of our total annual electricity consumption with solar energy in future. We use around 80% of the energy generated directly in our production processes, which significantly reduces our dependence on external electricity supplies. We feed the remaining 20% into the public grid.
This sustainable energy generation not only contributes to reducing our carbon footprint, but also improves the energy efficiency of our production and increases security of supply. This represents long-term added value for us, our customers and the region.
